Wine of the Month
Vineyard Name Year Tasting Notes
Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

A very intense upfront and aromatic cabernet with characteristics of casis, blackberry, intense blackcherry, and currants. Nicely balanced oak that you experience immediately. A little pepper and a bit of chocolate lead to a fairly long finish.Excellent with grilled lamb, beef and veal or a grilled salmon. About $50

I have ten years experience working in wineries, am a certified Sommelier and have a Wine Cellar Masters diploma from the International Academy of Wine. I've conducted numerous formal and informal wine-tasting sessions and have taught hundreds of people to love wine from all over the world, evaluate wine sensibly and be totally comfortable selecting wines for food pairings in their homes or ordering wine in a restaurant without feeling intimidated.

Sharing what I know about wine and transferring the simple (really!!!) art and skill of tasting, evaluating and selecting wine are most important to me. Have you ever wondered how in the world people smell or taste a butter or apple characteristic in Chardonnays, wild cherry or violet in Merlots, black currents, chocolate or leather in Cabernet Sauvignon? It's really easy, absolutely not magic and you can learn how to distinguish these characteristics and more!!!

I have an intense romance with wine and have an absolute passion about sharing the knowledge with anyone who wants to know more and learn. For me, it's all about wine!!

I taste wines all the time and will be posting wines on this site monthly that I feel you might want to check out.

Interested in reading a great book about wine that is a great resource for wine information, really funny, super easy read and ABSOLUTLEY NOT what the title implies? Here it is:

The Official Guide to Wine Snobbery
Leonard Bernstein
Quill, 1982

If you're thinking about having an event, consider a wine tasting. A wine tasting is great fun, engages people easily and a tremendous learning experience. Contact me for more information. And, visit this site for new discoveries in wine!!!

Cheers!!!
